Our rear utility rack is a multi use equipment carrier that is modular, light and engineered to perform. Whether you want to carry a spare wheel, jerry can, two bikes or any other equipment the universal rails will accept a range of clamping and bolting hardware giving you freedom to adapt to any situation. It will also accept additional lengths of the rail system on the side should you need to expand your arsenal of equipment.
We know that most people would not be comfortable drilling holes into their vans wether they are barnd new or old so our rack simply hooks over the top of the door and bolts in the existing number plate holes. The hooks are engineered to fit the shape of the door perfectly and sit on adhesive rubber panels that prevent wear, vibration and lateral movement, they are located at specific points giving the most support from downward forces. These forces are transfered through the 3mm steel rack and into the lower foot plate which spreads the load evenly across a large area at the strongest part of the skinned door panel. The foot is bolted through the existing number plate holes and sits on a large closed cell foam pad, this locks the upper feet in place and secures the rack.
